Reading the Label

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) requires that a Nutrition Facts label is placed on most foods. Learn to read the label. It lists much of the information you need to make healthy choices. Pay attention to the serving size and the number of servings in the container.

Health Canada also requires the Nutrition Facts Table to be placed on food products, and it has an interactive nutrition label on its website, to help you learn how to interpret the label:
